The Last Buffalo

A tribute to Albert Bierstadt

The setting sun bathes the prairie in amber and crimson. Only one buffalo remains — and a hunter kneels before it, brush in hand, capturing its spirit before it fades into history. Navjot’s personal rendition of Bierstadt’s 1888 painting is a story about how art remembers.

The Story

Inspired by Heritage and Heart

Canvas and Tales brings stories to life through fine art — oil paintings evoking memories, culture and emotion, created to be seen, felt and remembered. Founded by artist Navjot Singh, each piece invites you to see, feel, and remember.

Some works are personal renditions that pay tribute to the Old Masters — Caravaggio, Albert Bierstadt — reimagined through Navjot’s own perspective and style.
